Dear Resident,

On this solemn 16th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, please take a few moments to remember those whose lives were lost on that tragic day and also the brave men and women who came together to help in the recovery.  Please also consider flying your American flag daily.

SEPTEMBER 11th MEMORIAL EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT AT VILLAGE HALL

On this day, we are pleased to announce that an Eagle Scout candidate and Village resident, Steven Giammona, will be working over the next year to greatly enhance the existing September 11th memorial on the Village Hall property at the corner of Chester and Covert Avenues.  Steven has a very personal connection to September 11th as his uncle, who he never met, Capt. Vincent Giammona FDNY, perished in the collapse of the North Tower.  Please read the attached flyer and consider supporting Stevenís very ambitious project by ordering a custom paver for $100.  The dedication of the memorial is planned for this very day next year.

The Stewart Manor Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking members for Fire / EMS. If interested, come down to the Firehouse Thursdays at 8:00 PM or Sundays 10:00 AM or call the Firehouse at 516-354-0880. Help provide emergency services to your friends and neighbors.
