Village of Stewart Manor Zoning Board of Appeals, Notice of Public Hearing.
Notice is hereby given that a hearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals of the
Incorporated Village of Stewart Manor, New York is scheduled for Monday, July 17,
2017 at 7:00 pm at the Village of Stewart Manor, 120 Covert Avenue, Stewart
Manor, NY 11530 to hear the following request for a variance: The applicant, Mr. Robert Delay at 183 Bromleigh
Road is seeking a variance from 1) Section 200-43.A.: Required Number of Spaces. 2) Section: 200-42.C.: Approved
Parking Areas. The applicant is proposing to convert
a portion (roughly 210 sq. ft.) of the attached garage to living space.
Converting the garage would limit the off street parking from 3 to 2 spaces where
3 spaces are required by Village Code. 60’ in length required for 3 parking
spaces, 41.94’ is provided. If the garage is converted, the vehicles in the
driveway would now be considered parked in front of the dwelling unit which is
not permitted by Village Code and would also require a variance.
